Our Water

A more sustainable way to hydrate.

Better Water. Better World.

Our spring water starts its journey in the Mendip Hills, where it shapes the

gathers minerals that give it a smooth, clean taste. It’s drawn from the Framptons
spring in Shepton Mallet and packed on-site into recyclable, plant-based

Pure British Spring Water

Sourced and produced on-site at Framptons, Water in a Box uses pure British spring water that flows directly from the Mendip Hills, a protected region known for it's mineral rich limestone and naturally alkaline water. This close connection to source ensures not just quality and traceability- but a significantly reduced carbon footprint.

Naturally Filtered Through Time

Our story begins in Shepton Mallet, Somerset, where Water in a Box is sourced and packed in the southern foothills of the Mendip Hills — an area celebrated for its rolling countryside, natural springs, and rich geological heritage.

Nestled at around 154 metres above sea level, surrounded by Somerset farmland and the gentle flow of the River Sheppey. The river rises from the Doulting Springs, just a short distance away, where limestone meets clay — a natural meeting point that has created some of the purest spring systems in the area.

The Mendip Hills have been shaped over millions of years by layers of ancient limestone, sandstone, and clay. This unique geology acts as a natural filter — gently purifying rainwater as it travels deep underground through the Jurassic and Carboniferous rock before emerging as crisp, clean spring water.

Every drop of Water in a Box originates from this remarkable landscape — naturally balanced in minerals and refreshingly smooth to taste.

Sustainability

From the materials we choose to the way we transport our products, Water in a Box is designed to reduce impact at every stage.

Our connection to the Mendip Hills goes beyond water — it’s about respect for the land that gives it to us. That’s why we use SIG cartons made from 94% plant-based, 100% recyclable materials (including the cap), offering a lower carbon footprint than plastic, glass, or cans.

By protecting the environment that sustains our source, we ensure that Somerset’s naturally filtered spring water can continue to flow.

Better Water, Smarter Packaging, Lower Impact.

We exist to provide a sustainable alternative to plastic bottles. Our water is packaged in SIG cartons — made from responsibly sourced, renewable materials and designed with recyclability in mind. By choosing cartons over plastic, businesses can meet growing consumer demand for eco-friendly drinks while lowering their environmental footprint.
